The modern interpretation of a classic floor lamp, inspired by the iconic models with conical lampshades and pull mechanisms.

 

The lampshade is made of 10 mm thick, laser-engraved acrylic glass, with light fed through its edge. The engraving softly diffuses the light into the room, while sandblasted edges create additional luminous accents.

 

When switched off, the shade appears almost invisible – a clear, transparent form that quietly blends into its surroundings, revealing its wondrous character only when illuminated.

 

In my version, the conical shade is tilted and precisely transitions into a 20 mm deep aluminum profile, which flows into a conical base.

 

The highlight: instead of a cord, the light is activated by an aluminum rod – when pulled, the shade gently lowers and the light turns on.

 

A simple, intuitive gesture that connects tradition with modern technology.
